Beskrivelse

Lovely 85 m2 holiday home located close to Agerø, a nature and bird sanctuary. The house is situated on 1,000 m2 natureground, renovated with nice atmosphere. Low ceiling. Cozy living room with dining area. 2 bedrooms: 1 with double bed and 1 with 1 single bed and 2 bunks. Small kid’s playroom. Fine kitchen with dining area. There are terraces and place for bonfire, and you can "relax" in the hammock. The house is walking distance to Agerø. Agerø is best known for the rare light-bellied brent goose that winter here from November to May. This race of brent goose is one of the smallest goose populations in the world, numbering only around 7000 birds. The number of light-bellied brent goose in the Agerø area varies somewhat from one year to another. The former large flocks of up to 5000 birds have not been seen the last few years, but there is still a chance of seeing up to a few thousand at the end of May, just before they fly off north to their breeding grounds on Svalbard. A small number migrate even further to north-east Greenland. In springtime, around April-June, large flocks of golden plovers can be seen and the light-bellied brent geese are a particular attraction. At the same time, there is a good chance of seeing many different species of waders and ducks, and spoonbills have also begun to turn up. Later on in the year, waders, geese and ducks can be spotted in varying numbers. Both autumn and winter, geese and ducks stage in the fjord around the island. From the end of July and well into autumn, waders and ducks arrive in varying numbers. Various species of geese can be seen, in particular greylag geese, which sometimes roost around Stenklipperne, with often as many as a few thousand birds in August/September. Various species of waders can be seen, with golden plover again being the most numerous. In the fjord around the island there are often large flocks of goldeneye and red-breasted merganser in autumn and winter. With luck, one may be able to spot razorbills and guillemots. On the meadows, especially north of the bay of Nees Vig, large flocks of barnacle goose and pink-footed goose are often seen. During the last few years, white-fronted goose has also appeared, sometimes in fair numbers. They stay here from October to May, depending on the weather conditions. From the house there is a view of Thissinghuse with the smallest harbor in the island. Sindbjerg plantation offers hiking trails and mountain bike route. Take Næssund Ferry, it is Denmark's only association driven car-ferry and from here you are 20 km. til the North Sea and National Park Thy. Mors is famous for its beautiful and magnificent nature and Mo-Clay hills . The best starting point for exploring Mors' unique nature is an excursion to Salgjerhøj, which is the island's highest point. Here at the top of Mors' 89 meters above sea level, you'll get a clear sense of the varied and distinctive nature on the island. Close to Salgjerhøj lies Hanklit, which is a 61m high pier. Do not cheat yourself for the experience by "climbing" the hill of Hanklit and enjoy the unique view of Thisted Bredning and the sea. Drive to "Hanklit", do not cheat yourself for a walk at the top of the famous Mo-clay, "Hanklit" with fantastic view of Thisted Bredning and over the hilly landscape. Nykøbing is the largest city in Nykøbing Mors. Visit Dueholm Kloster (Dueholm Monastery), a local historical museum with artifacts and changing exhibits. The Danish Støberimuseum (Danish Foundry Musuem) exhibits the old Morsø wood furnaces and stoves. The pedestrian area or the shopping street connects the city to the harbor, where there are lots of activities throughout the summer. Every evening at 9:00 p.m. during summertime, people gather at the Marina to hear a trumpeter plays a Danish music “The Sun Goes Down (or sunset)”. The captivating Morsø Golf course lies not far from the city centrum with 18-hole golf course. Legind Bjerge is a scenic area with marked hiking trails and mountain bike trails, and it is also in this area that you will find Jesperhus Holiday Park with lots of activities for the whole family. In addition to the flower park, there are Pirate Legeland, 4D cinema Hugoland, water park and much more.
